HORI7ON, Filipino boy band ready to rock Manila with debut concert

Touted as the first Filipino boy band to debut in South Korea, HORI7ON is all set to make waves with their inaugural concert – right in the heart of Manila. The septet, launching under the banner of MLD Entertainment, officially started their journey in the K-pop arena with the album “Friend-Ship,” released on July 24.

The band is comprised of seven talented individuals: Vinci, Kim, Kyler, Reyster, Winston, Jeromy, and Marcus. These individuals came together through the rigours of the Philippines-Korea blended survival audition programme, “Dream Maker.” On August 2, they announced their maiden concert, titled “HORI7ON 1st Concert: Friend-SHIP [Voyage To Manila]” planned for September 9, 6pm, at Manila’s crowning jewel, the Araneta Coliseum. Tickets are confirmed to go on sale on August 19.

HORI7ON’s X (formerly known as their Twitter) account proclaimed, “All aboard, ANCHOR? Catch the global pop group, HORI7ON in their first-ever concert!” This presents a seismic development coming only nine days post their debut, when they bagged a nomination for first place in the esteemed Korean TV music show, “The Show.” Their track “SIX7EEN” was the star that shone.

The “Friend-Ship” album charted first on numerous iTunes’ Top Albums charts across the globe, including the Philippines, New Zealand, and the United Arab Emirates on its launch date, July 24. The very next day, the album continued its successful streak, topping iTunes in countries such as Spain, Qatar, and Poland. The album is a profound amalgamation of the diverse musical colours of the seven members, featuring a whopping 21 songs.
