Tagaytay City welcomes the addition of a new Super Health Centre

Positive strides towards improving local healthcare were evident in Tagaytay City, Cavite, as the groundbreaking ceremony for a state-of-the-art Super Health Centre (SHC) took place yesterday. The Department of Health in Calabarzon and local authorities, including the Mayor of the city, came together in Barangay Sungay Wes to initiate the development of what will be the 15th such health centre in the area.

Leading the ceremony, and marking a significant moment in their shared commitment to bolster the local health framework were Dr. Ariel Valencia, a notable regional director of the Department of Health; Mayor Abraham ‘Bambol’ Tolentino; and Aniela Tolentino, who represents the Eighth District of Cavite.

In a statement shared by Dr Valencia, it was made clear that this P10 million project is not in isolation. It sits as the 15th in a steadily rising tally of Super Health Centres in the Cavite province. “Out of 23 localities here, this is the 15th including the under-construction SHCs in General Trias, Imus, Bacoor and Dasmariñas. Hopefully, we can build an SHC in all localities,” he elaborated.

Quoted in a separate paragraph, Mayor Tolentino was keen to emphasise the anticipated positive impacts the newest Super Health Centre will have on the health and well-being of the Tagaytay community. It signifies a tangible increase in emphasis on health as a primary concern and provides a beacon of progress in a region continuously striving to enhance its healthcare services reported Manila Times.
