About The Thaiger
The Thaiger is one of Thailand’s leading English News and Lifestyle platforms. We deliver the most up-to-date news and information from across Thailand to English-speaking and Thai audiences through the website, mobile app, social media channels, and video format on our daily YouTube shows. Our website and mobile apps have more than 6 million visitors every month.
Over the years, Thaiger has grown to be more than a news site. We launched Thaiger Deals, an e-commerce platform, and established ourselves as a media production and advertising company, offering targeted advertising packages to clients through various Thaiger channels alongside our high-end media productions.
A (very) Brief History
Formed in 2018 as a digital rebrand of The Phuket Gazette, one of Thailand’s most prominent and well-known English language regional print newspapers, The Thaiger expanded beyond local Phuket news nationwide.
Having acquired The Phuket Gazette, Digitial Broker Ventures digitalised the company – shifting everything online; a new website, Social Media presence, a YouTube channel, forum and mobile applications. The old print newspaper was replaced with a daily email newsletter, sent straight to the reader’s inbox.
Thaiger TH, our Thai language platform, was launched in 2019 and has surpassed the readership of English news, with local Thai audiences coming to read about the latest news, sport, lottery and entertainment.
Following substantial growth in our user base, we launched two new languages to the website in 2023: Thaiger CN and Thaiger RU. The most updated Thailand News is published in Chinese and Russian languages to cater to Chinese and Russian audiences.
In June 2023, Thaiger ventured into news outside Thailand: the Philippines (Thaiger PH) and India (Thaiger IN), intending to inform the users of the most updated news from India and the Philippines.
