Eric Bates is an animator and artist based out of Vancouver, Canada. After graduating from the animation department at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, he continued on to work as an animator and visual effects artist for feature films in Canada, UK, and Australia. In 2011 he completed a master’s degree in Experimental Animation at the Kyoto University of Art and Design, Japan. Throughout his studies he focused on collaborative animation, and on combining analogue and digital techniques.
